DIGITAL APPLICATIONS FOR ASSESSMENT
DIGITAL APPLICATIONS FOR ASSESSMENT
Hello… hello, how are you? This week I bring you a topic that I
personally find interesting. Due to the situation that we are going through
with COVID-19 and having to give classes online, we teachers are forced to help
the student to have classes a little more attractive since students spend a lot
of time sitting in front of a screen.
I’ve been checking that lately many applications are appearing with
which we can carry out a formative evaluation. It is interesting that you know them;
I leave you five of these applications so that you can check on them just click at the name and you will see them a
little bit deeper and at the end, you’ll give us your opinion.
1. KAHOOTKahoot allows us to create contests, surveys and questions to order their answers, so that the students respond. It is a great tool to gamify learning and motivate students. Students can participate in the contest using their mobile or PC. and at the end of the game, the ranking of the best players will be displayed.
2. SOCRATIVESocrative is an application that allows teachers to create a Quiz (questionnaire), Space Race (questionnaire with time) or Exit Ticket (questionnaire with ranking of results) and the students respond in real time through their devices. The teachers can follow the results live and review them later in the reports stored by Socrative.
3. QUIZIZZQuizizz is a free gamification platform that enables teachers to create online tests as well as send them to students through their web browser. For its edition, it has two modes, live and at home. After its completion, the teacher receives a report with the results of each student and the class, with which are to decide the points to improve.
4. EDPUZZLEEDPuzzle allows you to create videos and evaluate or add text or comments to them during the video playback. If the students are registered, the platform saves the answers of each student so that later the teacher can determine their level of understanding on the subject.
5. PLICKERSPlickers allows us to evaluate without the need for students to have a device, it is a platform where students can respond by raising a card with a code and through the camera of a smartphone or tablet, with a specific app the answers of each will be corrected student giving us all the information instantly.
Well, what do you think….These were some of the applications that I was able to investigate. Give me your opinion; Do you like them, if so tell me which one you liked the most, which one you use, or which one is not there that you will you like to share….

Hello dear teacher,
ReplyDeletethank you for sharing the apps to make exams on line, you know I’ve been using google forms only to make my exams. but sometimes is difficult so modify some things and well it was the only platform that knew how to work with, but I’m looking forward on experimenting on your recommendations, thank you for sharing, really you are the best.
Working and evaluating our students on line it is difficult and grading the test on the computer collecting the data for me and my eyes is very tiring, so find new ways of doing it can help me a lot.
well, Isela this is a very intersinting topic and applications are our new way of working. All the ones you mention seem very good to me. I´ve only worked on Kahoot and eduplay because they were the ones we saw with teacher Barbara and I like them. thanks for sharing I will try to apply them.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the recommendations! It's always nice to have more options when it comes to making tests and quizzes. So far, I've only used Kahoot and another website that's not mentioned here called Educaplay. It's a another site where you can also customize quizzes or create activities to reinforce information!
ReplyDeleteHi Iss!
ReplyDeleteI sincerely appreciate your suggestions, they are very interesting. I always say that it does not matter how much knowledge a person may have if they are not able to share it.
This pandemic has made us all reinvent ourselves and make more use of technology always for the benefit of our students.
I do not deny that personally it has cost me a little more work than maybe you see the others but I love knowing all the news that teachers can help us when teaching our classes.
Hello!
ReplyDeleteI share your opinion Iss!, this pandemic has forced all educators to make classes more enjoyable, since it is a quite hard to spend a lot of time in front of the computer. I really appreciate you sharing with us these applications, they make our classes more fun.
Honestly, I do not know much about technology so, I appreciate your suggestions more. I only knew Kahoot and Educaplay both are good. Children from elementary and secondary enjoy them too much.
Thank you very much for sharing Iss!
