Hello, hello everyone, how are you?
This will be the first time that I will do a blog, as you can say... I am Brand New.
Well this week I will talk a little about the situation that everyone is talking about right now; I think you might know what it is, well of course you do; It is about the coronavirus 19 pandemic that has not only changed the habits of a country or a nation, it has changed the whole world, affecting our own teaching method.
Since the month of March 2019 here in Mexico, thousands of children, youth and teachers were confined, having to resort to virtual classes with their distance learning, making use of digital tools, which implied a great challenge for teachers and especially those who had been in education for many years, without guidance or training from our own authorities, even though, teachers have looked for many ways to learn how to use the platforms and applications.
We have immersed ourselves in technology to apply it in development of the knowledge of our students. On the other hand, taking the positive side out of this situation, being in this way, seeing the students in their home, their personal space, we have come to detect needs in them and in ourselves as teachers that we cannot put them aside, we have to work more in depth on them.
Here I leave you an quote and I hope to see your opinions… have a nice day.
"We cannot afford the luxury of returning to the classroom and letting routine erase all the needs, ideas and reflections detected and appeared in these days of confinement and imposed change."😀"We cannot afford the luxury of returning to the classroom and letting routine erase all the needs, ideas and reflections detected and appeared in these days of confinement and imposed change."

That´s right, we´ve all had to change habits and adapt the changes in all aspects of our lifes, especially in education. So the way we teach have also changed; for me has been a constant redesign. we´re learning new strategies, methods and activities, so it´s time to innovate.
ReplyDeletehello teacher
ReplyDeleteI totally support what you wrote, looking back to the moment when the condiment started the authorities left teachers and student to work with what they have and wit their own means, I don't think it is fair for all of us involved in the situation due to we needed support and knowledge of how to work on line, for me I was convenient because I had experience studying on line, but the rest didn't and not every student or etcher had computer or internet in their homes or something to work on line so IT IS A VERY DIFFICULT SITUATION for many people to be able to work on line.
Also education is a delicate thing that need to be agrees properly and here we are still learning own for own how to do it.
Hello to you as well!
ReplyDeleteI personally feel that this pandemic has really pushed us both as students and teachers to learn more ways of teaching. We finally have more abilities in our repertoire than before!
Sure, there are problems like technical difficulties or the internet straight up doesn't feel like working! Other times it's hard to grab the attention of our students because they're busy doing something we can't see offscreen. That's why as teachers, we have to prepare an engaging class for the students and honestly, for ourselves as well since being behind a computer screen for too long doesn't do us any favors...
If anything good has come from this, personally I believe we've become closer to our family and open to criticism. I say criticism because this is something new and there's always room for improvement when learning a new skill.
I look forward to seeing more posts. Keep writing!
Hello hello teacher
ReplyDeleteFor I agree with everyrhing that you said and you know when I was reading the part of when everything just started you make remember that time, as you said the aurhorities never supported teacher or students they just expected that we could figure the hole education on line process in between us, is jus don't think is fair. Not everybtecher or student had the means to have on line education like a computer or internet at their houses.
So I belive it was wrong just to send everyone to figure it out on their own
Hi Ise! I am agree with you. The pandemic has changed our lives. The classes are totally different than they were. But as somebody said, everything is learned. Teachers have had todo their best to make the classes a success. Undoubtedly the technology have has an importan factor in carrying out everything in the pandemic. Let´s learn every day from it.
